Vojanovy sady (Vojan Gardens), tucked behind high walls near the busy KlĆ”rov tram stop, offers one of Pragueā€™s most peaceful green spaces. Believed to be the oldest partially preserved garden in the city, this hidden gem traces its origins to the 13th century, when it belonged to a Carmelite convent.

A highlight is the charming Chapel of St. Elijah, nestled within the garden, along with several statues. In the rear section, there is a raised terrace with a balustrade that resembles a monastic garden, complete with a pergola and a central fountain.

Today, itā€™s a tranquil retreat filled with flowering trees (most beautiful in spring when the magnolias and cherry trees are in full bloom), baroque statuary, ponds, and wandering peacocksā€”a signature feature the gardens are renowned for.

Unlike the more manicured Royal Garden or the bustling Wallenstein Garden, Vojan Gardens remains low-key and uncrowded, a perfect spot for quiet reflection, a romantic stroll, or simply escaping the tourist rush for a moment of calm.
